Global Garden Project
2015 - present
Our flagship project is the international Global Garden, initiated in 2015 in Mathare (Nairobi, Kenya). As part of the project, together with school students, we designed and built multi-purpose edible gardens. Since then, we organize workshops on the design, installation and maintenance of gardens. We already created gardens in Poland, Kenya and Cape Verde.

Nkoranza, Boabeng (Ghana), Fazao, Nano (Togo), 2019
During a study trip to Ghana and Togo in November and December 2019, we established cooperation with the Hand in Hand Community organization operating in Nkoranza (Ghana). The organization runs a center for children z with disabilities and has an area which once held a utility garden. During the visit, funds were donated for the purchase of materials. We also discussed the possibility of further cooperation in the field of reactivating the garden. Additionally, we visited elementary schools in the villages of Boabeng (Ghana), Fazao (Togo) and Nano (Togo). We provided students with various school supplies.
Stawiguda, 2017
In 2017, a school garden was created at the School and Kindergarten Complex in Stawiguda. We worked with local teenagers (14-16 years old) and the community. The garden was created as part of the project funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the name "Young Discoverer University" - project title: "Teen at university" - funding received by the Children's University Foundation.
Nairobi (Kenya), 2015
The garden was established in Mathare in Kenya's capital, Nairobi. The main goals of the project were the implementation of the school's utility garden with a didactic function, the activation of school students and the popularization of the idea of urban gardening. We established contacts with non-governmental organizations operating in Kenya to find a suitable teaching facility and conduct a pilot study. We made an inventory of the site, and then we created the garden design concept. The project was co-financed by the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
Praia (Cape Verde), 2015
The garden was realized at the Escola de Ensino Basico de Achada Grande in Praia (Cape Verde). It was made during a teaching and research trip in Cape Verde, Praia, Universidade Jean Piaget de Cabo Verde (April 2 - 23, 2015) within the framework of the project: Internships in leading foreign academic and scientific research centers for UWM (the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn) teaching staff - "Strengthening the teaching potential of UWM in Olsztyn".
